I'm a first-generation physician working as a hospitalist at a large academic institution in California. I went through the challenges of residency while sustaining a social life and taking on new hobbies - it's possible! Graduate of the Alaska WWAMI/University of Washington Medical School and trained at Christ Hospital outside of Chicago. EM attending working half time for a hospital system and half time locums. Married to a surgical fellow and ended up in the same city but not through the couples match. Mother of three and had a baby during each phase of training (MS4, R3, and as a new attending). I have a lot of long drives to my locums sites and love talking about how I’ve found some balance among it all.

I'm a first-gen physician with a background in Kinesiology. I decided on medicine as a college sophomore and anesthesia as a 4th year med student. In Anesthesiology, I've found the perfect mix of technical procedures, surgical variety, and work-life balance.
