MENTORx (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the MENTORx platform.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

  • Mentees: Name, email address, training stage, year, specialty interests, and what you’re looking for help with
  • Mentors: Name, email address, training level, specialty, bio, headshot, NPI number (optional), and scheduling preferences
  • Session data: Booking times, session notes, feedback, and cancellation history
  • Payment data: Payment amounts and transaction IDs. We do not store credit card numbers — all payment details are handled securely by Stripe

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Match mentees with appropriate mentors
  • Facilitate scheduling and session management
  • Send booking confirmations, reminders, and feedback requests
  • Improve our platform and services
  • Communicate updates about MENTORx

De-identified Data

With your consent, we may use de-identified, aggregated data to improve MENTORx and inform future features, insights, and educational resources related to medical training and mentorship. This data will never include your name, email, or other directly identifying information.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with:

  • Mentors: Your name, email, and session notes when you book a session
  • Service providers: Email delivery (Resend), database hosting (Supabase), scheduling (Google Calendar), and payment processing (Stripe) as needed to operate the platform
  • Payment processor: When you make or receive a payment, Stripe processes your payment information. Stripe’s use of your data is governed by Stripe’s Privacy Policy

Data Retention

We retain information as long as necessary to provide mentorship services and for legitimate operational purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the ability to request access to or deletion of your data.

California residents: You may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). MENTORx does not sell personal information. To make a request, contact us using the email below.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no system is completely secure. Passwords are hashed, sessions are encrypted, and we use HTTPS for all communications.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
