Welcome to MENTORx

MENTORx (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a near-peer mentorship platform that connects medical trainees with mentors at various stages of training. By using our platform, you agree to these Terms of Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use MENTORx. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you meet this age requirement.

Mentorship Services

MENTORx facilitates peer-to-peer mentorship connections. Our mentors are medical trainees and physicians who share experiences and guidance.

• MENTORx does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
• Sessions are educational mentorship only — not a substitute for professional medical care
• Information shared during sessions is for guidance purposes and should not replace advice from qualified professionals

User Conduct

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information during registration
• Treat mentors and mentees with respect
• Honor scheduled sessions or cancel with adequate notice
• Not share private health information during sessions
• Not use the platform for any unlawful purpose

Accounts and Access

Mentor accounts require approval by our admin team. We reserve the right to approve, reject, or deactivate any account at our discretion. Mentee access does not require an account — you book sessions through public mentor links.

Payments and Pricing

Mentors may set their own per-session prices. Some mentors offer free sessions. When a mentor sets a price, mentees pay at the time of booking via Stripe.

• All payments are processed securely through Stripe
• Prices are set by individual mentors and displayed in USD
• Payment is collected at the time of booking
• MENTORx charges a service fee to support platform operations
• MENTORx does not store credit card information — all payment details are handled by Stripe

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Both mentors and mentees may cancel scheduled sessions. The following refund policy applies to paid sessions:

• Cancelled before the cutoff window: A full refund is issued automatically. Each mentor sets their own cancellation cutoff (typically 6 hours before the session).
• Cancelled within the cutoff window: Cancellation is not permitted within the cutoff period. The mentee may contact us at mentorxmed@gmail.com for exceptional circumstances.
• Mentor-initiated cancellations: If a mentor cancels a paid session, the mentee receives a full refund automatically.
• No-shows: If a mentor does not attend a scheduled paid session, the mentee may request a refund by contacting us within 48 hours.

Free sessions may be cancelled at any time before the cutoff window with no financial implications.

Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and materials on MENTORx are owned by MENTORx. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission.

Limitation of Liability

MENTORx is provided “as is.” We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to decisions made based on mentorship guidance. Mentors are independent contractors, not employees of MENTORx.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
